We aim to preserve and promote our culture by bringing young people, educators, and heritage experts together through diverse traditional cultural programs. It presents an opportunity for youths and children to meet and learn about culture, address current matters in the preservation and discover their new roles in cultural preservation.
Makalu Sherpa Youth Club implements different cultural programs for youth’s participation in cultural preservation. We aim to:
Promote awareness of the importance of Traditional Culture among youth and teach it to the new generation.
Encourage the active participation of youth on cultural-related issues, and contribute to the preservation.
Engage in voluntary work with the local communities in cultural programs which prioritize cultural sustainability.
Make the youth voice heard to the concerned government sectors on conservation of cultural programs.
